youre getting masterful in creating depth and mood
* awaits with true lack of patience for stage 3*

edit: someone please give 'Mushroom Castle' the crucial 7 points for poor little Dean

Since it's become kinda traditional I have one very minor crit....The background tree trunks seem a little too sharp...the light coming through them would be more difuse, softening their outline somewhat.
Everything else is perfect though...this is such a sweet illustration I feel kinda mean criticising it...but you know I can never resist busting your balls when I can!!...sorry!

It took you to long!
Well, well… let's see… I like stage 2 better then the first one, it has more depth to it.
Great expression on the tree… so old and tired, looks like he's been there for ages.
It looks like he is watching the butterfly on the mushroom, and it makes him remember something that happened many years ago (or maybe he's just jealous of it's youth
everything else is also very nicely drawn.
My only crit (and it was hard to find one) is the white area in the background.
There should be more contrast between it and the grass (or whatever it is that the little guy walks there). I guess you wanted to create a some sort of "fade away" effect, but I don't think it works to well (but hey, what do I know
I hope there will be a "stage 3".
By the way... awesome work

The textures are amazing man, the mood of the enchanted forest, the lights, everything has some dark magic, and I love it!!!!!
Keep them coming!
11/09/06 @791
One thing that bothers me personally is the texture of the paper wich is to heavy to me...

11/09/06 @797
rafsan: I used the less textured side of the paper for Stage I and the more textured for Stage II...I actually like the more textured, but thank you very much for the feedback

I like the roots - they make great texture on the floor. I like the lights and perspective that stree the story in your drawing. The spell is in the air, indeed
Beautiful

the technique is fun looks old, loved and mastered
what are you using?
you need to right a book to go with these
02/03/07 @663
all of these drawings are done with a mechanical pencil on canson paper...there is a story behind all of this and I've begun to write it, but honestly, I'm very lazy about writing...
